Legoland Florida brings opportunities for entrepreneurs as (excerpt) experts expect traffic along the Cypress Gardens corridor leading to the 150-acre theme park to jump by 27 percent to more than 33,000 cars during the summer peak season. And those people will be looking for places to buy gas, eat dinner and buy souvenirs before they head back home.
Tourists traveling into the area easily can result in $30 million to $40 million in new business for neighboring hotels, restaurants and stores, said Coldwell Banker Commercial Saunders Ralston Dantzler Realty research. “Taking into account existing [restaurant] capacity, this should create the need for another 15 to 20 restaurants,” said Gary Ralston, a broker with Coldwell Banker
